Meet the Panel

André Taylor understands that successful employment is about more than just skills and

experience-it's about alignment, purpose, and people.

That insight led him to found CareerPaths NW in 2008, a full-service direct-hire placement firm based in the Seattle area. He has helped place hundreds of candidates-from entry level to seasoned executives-into long-term career roles across multiple industries nationwide.

Before launching Career Paths NW, André earned multiple awards for production and consulting at a national recruiting firm. He has since grown his own company into an award-winning enterprise recognized for its excellence and impact. Career Paths NW has been named one of the Top 100 Best Workplaces in Washington in addition to being named one of the top African-American-Owned Business in the state by the Puget Sound Business Journal, and is a five-timewinner of Seattle's Best Employment Agencies by Expertise.com.

At the core of Career Paths NW's success is a distinctive zero-based interview process-a deep-dive approach that helps uncover a candidate's hidden skills, passions, and potential.

Melanie Monek - VP, HR Manager, Washington Trust Bank

An HR Manager by day, super mom by night, Melanie is a multi-tasking queen. As the HR Manager, Melanie oversees many facets of HR, including employee relations, trainings, and mentor and coaching calls, yet she always finds time to rally her team to "quickly" do the stairs (there are 16 flights in the main tower).

Melanie is skilled at losing all things paper - best to send her an email. Melanie also loves all things sports and is a loyal fan of the Buffalo Bills; she orders takeout every night when her husband is out of town; wishes every day could be 80 degrees.
